Mayor walks to Pauatahanui School

Rain didn't stop Pauatahanui making the most of Movin'March this year. The Porirua Mayor, Mike Tana, joined Pauatahanui School students, parents and teachers on their journey to school on Wednesday 22 March.

The school said Movin'March helped encourage families to walk and wheel to school more often.

"It has been fantastic to see so many kids participating in Movin’March. It has been delightful to see their faces in the morning coming up to the office to tell me about how they got to school and to get their passport stamped!"

They even wrote a poem about it!

The kids are all buzzing, the bike racks are full Movin’ March is in force at Pauatahanui School! Up to the office they run, leap and tramp To see who’ll be first for a prize and a stamp!

And on 22 March we get to walk with the mayor So mark it in your diary, come join the fanfare! Let’s walk, bike and scoot – each and every one Come start the morning with a whole lot of fun!
