Competitions update for parents

Thank you for supporting and participating in Movin’March 2020. Here’s an update about competitions, how you can still take part if you want and how you can give us your feedback. We also have some links for family activities for getting back into the school routine.

Movin’March WOW Passports – send by Friday 5 June If you have Movin’March cards at home, it’s not too late for these to be included in the big draw. Just pop any complete AND incomplete cards in the post before Friday 5 June and address to; Kirsty Barr, Movin’March, Greater Wellington Regional Council, P O Box 11646 Manners St, Wellington 6142 and your child will go in the draw to win one of 12 x $400 My Ride vouchers. Make sure your school and child’s name is written on the back of the passport.

Art Challenge entries – extended to Friday 5 June If your child has already completed an art challenge entry you can also send this in the post with your passports to the same address above. Or scan and email your artwork to schooltravel@gw.govt.nz. If you would like to participate in the art challenge now you still can. Just download the template and follow instructions here, and submit your artwork by Friday 5 June.

Movin’Minds – extended to Friday 5 June If you have a Year 4-8 student at home who wants to submit their own Movin’Minds mini-movie or slideshow, these will need to be submitted by Friday 5 June. All the information is found here, including tips and guidelines. Children will need your parent/caregiver’s email address in order to submit their work.

Movin’March would love your feedback! Parents and student surveys: Thanks to all our students, parents, caregivers and whānau who came on board for Movin’March this year. We realise we didn’t quite get to walk and wheel the whole month through, but we appreciated all the efforts and support everyone gave around active travel. Movin’March would love to hear your views in this 5 min parent feedback survey or student survey. Both close on Friday 5 June. Students can win a $50 Prezzy card and parents a $100 Prezzy card by taking part.
